I have lived in Florida since 1988. The first couple years in Daytona, then on to Royal Palm Beach and Stuart, where I met my wife, Marion, in 2001. My 2 kids in Massillon, Ohio, have blessed us with 5 grandkids!

     It is my wife's fault that I am into rc flying. Before we were married she gave me a 2 channel "toy' for my birthday (never did get that thing to cooperate!). I found a group of folks in Stuart that flew mostly gliders on a very large lot just outside Stuart. I was too embarrassed to bring this little piece of, uhh, foam to fly, so I eventually built my first kit, a Great Plains Spektra 2M RES Glider. 8 years and about 40 planes later, we moved to DeLand. After a year in DeLand we feel very fortunate to have found many new friends, in addition to a wonderful facility to continue practicing RC (every flight is a practice session, right?)

The 2 channel plane??? It's found it's permanent home on my shop ceiling!
